SketchMore ThinkMore

Not sure if this book is for you? Give it a try. This book addresses so many questions I've heard over the years, it is designed by a teacher (who loves her job!), for teachers, coaches, and anyone who wants to ensure that what they say is what is actually being heard. It is a long book, but each chapter is two pages--one page of text followed by a full-page visual that will a) provide ideas of "where to start" sketching, b) supplement the text with a little extra detail, or c) complement the text through a visual interpretation. In other words, I'm walking my talk and showing you different ways to get started. Ideally you'll look at these visuals and think "Oh, I can do THAT!" and continue on your merry way with confidence. The goal was for this book to be practical, and I hope you will find multiple ways to start using visuals in your classroom the same day or the very next day with joy.

Sketch Your Mind

Sketch Your Mind teaches readers how to combine words, visuals, and space into a practical thinking system. Readers will learn how to: Turn dense information into clear visual concepts, build visual notes that are reusable instead of disposable, organize ideas spatially rather than relying only on folders and linear text, connect sketches into a larger knowledge network, use simple visual structures to improve understanding and recall, create “Book-on-a-Page” summaries and concept maps, blend analog and digital workflows and use visual thinking for learning, planning, communication, and decision-making. Beyond techniques, the book helps readers develop a new relationship with knowledge itself. The goal is not to produce prettier notes. The goal is to think more clearly, remember more deeply, and navigate complexity with greater confidence and creativity.

Visual Versa

Draw Your Line of Thought is a gentle, playful book that invites the reader to slow down through simple doodles, lines, and visual reflections. It’s not about learning how to draw “well.” It’s about using drawing as a way to think, breathe, notice, and reconnect with yourself...one small line at a time
